As we emerge from the disastrous heartbreak of the past two years, Ashland at Home is happy to announce that we’re relaunching this summer. We'll have to start small like we did before and grow with COVID precautions in place. We intend to restart the services and programs that engage and support members to thrive as they age as soon as we can.
For the time being, our office is in Katharine Danner's laundry room. We have a new board of directors and we'll be looking forward to welcoming back our members and cadre of volunteers. We'll be in touch to keep you posted on our plans. If you'd like to be involved in planning that future, let Katharine know.
Ashland At Home (AAH) is neighbors helping neighbors live in their own homes and staying engaged in our community as long as possible. AAH is based on the “village” model that is serving tens of thousands of adults across the U.S. The model, developed by neighbors living in the Beacon Hill area of Boston, provides services to support members to continue living in their homes as they age and programs to add vitality to their lives.
"I am very impressed with Ashland At Home — both for the meticulous, thoughtful planning that has gone into its design and also because I believe it is filling a void in the social structure of our community."
-- John Stromberg, Former Mayor of Ashland
